About

Hi! I’m Arielle Korman, a Jewish educator, musician, and writer in my last year of rabbinical school at the Jewish Theological Seminary. I love helping people to develop a relationship with Judaism that is rich, meaningful, complex and spiritually enlivening. I draw from all kinds of sources in my work, with experience in various Jewish movements, social justice organizations, Jewish educational settings, the queer Jewish music scene, academia and more. A lifelong New Yorker, I especially love helping people develop a Jewish practice in deep conversation with the places they live.

Prior to returning to graduate school, I co-founded Ammud: the Jews of Color Torah Academy where I served as its inaugural executive director. I also received an MA in Religion from Columbia University and was a Fulbright research fellow. These days, I am particularly interested in exploring the spiritual implications of current schisms in the Jewish world, as well as envisioning how Judaism can help people who seek it, through significant challenges, live more moral and meaningful lives.
